Classes began the week of January 5 for the first group of students at the Poynor School of Healthcare Innovation in Florence. On Friday, January 9, Donna Isgett, President and CEO of McLeod Health, provided a welcome as the first guest speaker. She spoke to two separate co-horts of Florence 1 Schools students. Donna provided a personal account of what led her to the healthcare field and engaged in a Q&A session with the students where they could ask about her educational journey and what it’s like caring for patients as a nurse and now as a CEO of a major hospital system in the state.
