McLeod Health was pleased to be the premier sponsor of the 2026 Pee Dee Pathways event on January 29 at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT).

More than 2,000 eighth-grade students from across the Pee Dee region were scheduled to attend, and our team had a great time connecting with them, sharing real-world experiences, and talking about the many career paths available right here in our community.

Earlier this month, the Facilities Management Team at McLeod Health Seacoast shared trade information with more than 6,000 Horry County 8th Graders during the “Pathways to Possibilities Career Expo.” This two-day annual event, held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, allows students to hear from hundreds of professionals who represent different career paths. The goal of Facilities Management team members presenting was to show students there are lots of opportunities in healthcare besides clinical roles. 

A big thank you to our McLeod Health team members from Workforce Development, Clinical Education, Facilities Management, the School of Medical Laboratory Science and Air Reach who showed up, shared their stories, and helped spark interest in meaningful careers in healthcare and beyond.
