Electrophysiology
Dr. Malik Rajesh, the Director of Electrophysiology for McLeod, and Dr. Prabal Guha are physicians at McLeod who specialize in evaluating the abnormalities of the heart’s rhythm. Patients who should have Electrophysiology (EP) studies include patients with documented abnormal heart rhythms, or patients with symptoms of palpitations. Also included would be patients with syncope (without evident cause) and anyone at high risk of sudden cardiac death due to either coronary disease, reduced ejection faction. Patients who fall into any of these categories would be referred to our Electrophysiology Program.
All Electrophysiology studies are conducted in the area's only dedicated, specially equipped Electrophysiology Laboratory located in the McLeod Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
