McLeod Health offers several options for childbirth preparation classes, including a four- or five-week series that meets one night per week, or one-day Saturday classes for those who cannot fit several weeks of classes into their schedules. Both class formats cover the following topics:
- Stages of labor
- Breathing and relaxation techniques
- Pain management options and interventions during labor
- Preparing for delivery
Participants should bring 2 bed pillows and wear comfortable clothes (no skirts or dresses).
