Reeanna Henderson Named Director of Case Management at McLeod Dillon

(11/08/12) – Reeanna Henderson, Director of the Hospitalist Program at McLeod Dillon, has also been named Director of Case Management at McLeod Dillon. Reeanna is uniquely qualified to oversee Case Management having started her career at McLeod Dillon in that department ten years ago. She brings a wealth of knowledge in governmental and insurance payment processes, compliant documentation and coding. She holds certifications as a Certified Professional In Healthcare Management, Certified Professional Coder, Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner and Certified Case Manager.

Case Management is a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation, and advocacy for options and services that meet an individual’s and family’s comprehensive health needs. This occurs through communication and ensuring that available resources are being used in a timely and cost effective manner.

Henderson began working at McLeod Dillon as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 2002. She became the Utilization Review Coordinator in 2003 and was hired as the Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator in 2008. Henderson graduated from Northeastern Technical College where she received an Associates Degree in Nursing in May of 2010. In July of 2010, she was named Director of the McLeod Dillon Hospitalist Program. She will graduate from Francis Marion University in December with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Henderson is a native of Dillon. She and her husband, Chad, have two sons, Noah, age 11, and Eli, age 7. Henderson is a member of East Dillon Baptist Church in Dillon. She is also a 2011 graduate of the Palmetto Leadership Dillon County.
