Radiothon Raises More Than $115,000
for McLeod Children’s Hospital

McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 4 OCTOBER 2019

Amanda Porter, whose baby was in the NICU, shared her family’s story with Mudflap and Palmer with New Country 99.3 The Cat during the 2019 McLeod Children’s Hospital Radiothon.

The 17th Annual Radiothon raised $115,365 for the treatment of critically ill and injured children at McLeod Children’s Hospital this year.

More than 56,000 children from the Midlands to the Coast receive care at McLeod Children’s Hospital each year. One hundred percent of the money raised during the McLeod Children’s Hospital Radiothon helps support specialized care, medical equipment, and programs needed to help care for children in the region.

Community Broadcasters Stations The Cat 99.3, Star 93.7, Live 95 News Talk 95.3 and Almighty 105.1 broadcasted live from the McLeod Regional Medical Center Concourse for the Annual Radiothon October 2, 3 and 4.

During the broadcast, listeners heard stories of local families whose children have benefited from the care at McLeod Children’s Hospital. Listeners were also invited to make a pledge, call in, or visit the hospital to share their stories.

One of the largest fundraisers for the McLeod Children’s Hospital, the Radiothon helps ensure the continuum of quality care provided for children and families across the region.

Thank you to the Community Broadcasters DJ’s and Radio Hosts, Radiothon sponsors and donors, McLeod physicians and staff, phone bank volunteers, our youngest patients and their families, and the McLeod Health Foundation staff for another successful year.
