McLeod Health is pleased to announce the opening of the new Occupational Health Nearsite Clinic on the McLeod Health Carolina Forest Campus.

For the past 115 years, it has been the mission of McLeod Health to improve the health and well being of people living in Northeastern South Carolina and Southeastern North Carolina by providing excellence in health care. In 2016, McLeod Health expanded its services on the coast by establishing the McLeod Health Carolina Forest Campus.

“McLeod Health is committed to excellence in medical care. We are privileged to continue serving patients and their families throughout Horry County, evident with our investment in the provision of Occupational Health to area business and industry members in the Carolina Forest area,” said Scott Montgomery, McLeod Health Loris Administrator.

McLeod Occupational Health works in collaboration with its employer partners to implement a comprehensive program that complements the goals of its partners and facilitates the development of strong patient relationships that improve health and convenience for patients while driving down costs for the employer and member. As an employer, there are many employee healthcare needs that can be managed in the organization’s nearsite locations.

A full-range of occupational medicine services will be offered at the McLeod Occupational Health Carolina Forest Nearsite Clinic. These services will include:  DOT – Certified exams and physicals, sick and urgent care visits, treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses, X-ray and EKG services, labs, firefighter physicals, wellness programs including screenings and disease care management, flu shots, drug screening, and immunizations and vaccinations.

Now, convenient healthcare access for area businesses and industry members is included in the campus’ new Occupational Health location. Elizabeth Lacey, AGNP-C, is the Assistant Director and Nurse Practitioner caring for patients at the healthcare facility.

“The momentum we are seeing in onsite and nearsite services mirrors the broader momentum sweeping the country,” said Octavia Williams-Blake, Vice President of Workplace Health and Safety with McLeod Health. “More and more employers are choosing to bring healthcare closer to their worksite; employers are experiencing the positive financial impact of having physicians and nurse practitioners near their businesses providing convenient high-quality care to team members.”

In additional to the nearsite clinic, the McLeod Health Carolina Forest Campus offers a variety of physician practices and outpatient services including Cardiology, Family Medicine, Vascular, Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology and Critical Care, Orthopedics and a free-standing emergency department.

McLeod Health Carolina Forest is conveniently located in the heart of Myrtle Beach and Horry County at the intersection of Highway 31 and International Drive.  The address of McLeod Occupational Health is 907 Startek Drive, Myrtle Beach. For more information, visit www.mcleodoccupationalhealth.org.
