McLeod Teams Raise Awareness
of Lung Cancer Screenings

McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 24 NOVEMBER 2020

A significant improvement in lung cancer detection has been the use of low-dose CT scans to screen high-risk individuals for lung cancer. At McLeod, we are pleased to offer a Lung Cancer Screening Program that allows us to detect lung cancer earlier, offering patients more options for treatment.

During November, members of the McLeod Healthy Lungs Initiative, McLeod Cardiothoracic Surgical Associates, the McLeod CT Department, McLeod Cancer Coordination, McLeod Radiation Oncology and McLeod Infusion Services have been pictured in social media with our white ribbon in recognition of Lung Cancer Awareness Month and in honor of their patients.

If you are a previous smoker of 15 to 30 years and are interested in seeing if you qualify for a low-dose CT screening for lung cancer, please call (843) 777-5953.
