Jonathon Shannon, a registered nurse on the Medical and Cardiac Floor of McLeod Health Seacoast, was recently presented a DAISY Award for outstanding service and care. He received four different nominations for his professionalism and caring heart.

“Jonathon put me at ease right away by being personable and funny while still being so professional,” shared one of his patients.

“Jonathon was so kind and compassionate. I truly believe God put Jonathon in our lives at the right time. He is an asset to McLeod Health Seacoast,” said another family member of a patient cared for by Shannon.

DAISY award winners at McLeod Health are nominated by patients, family members and co-workers. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.
