McLeod Safe Kids will host a Safe Sitter class for girls and boys ages 11 to 13.

The class will be held on the following dates:

·    June 25, 2014 (register by June 18, 2014)

·    July 16, 2014 (register by July 9, 2014)

·    August 6, 2014 (register by July 30, 2014)

The Safe Sitter class will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the McLeod Medical Plaza, 800 East Cheves Street, in Florence. The class will be held in the Auditorium, Suite 100.

Taught by certified instructors, Safe Sitter is a medically-based program that teaches young adults how to effectively handle emergencies when caring for children. The class provides hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques, helpful tips including safety precautions, how to understand children of different ages, and the business of babysitting.

The Safe Sitter class costs $35, which includes materials, a certificate, and lunch. Please make checks payable to McLeod Safe Kids.
