McLeod Safe Kids Now Offering Free Car Seat Education Class

McLEOD SAFE KIDS 14 DECEMBER 2015

In South Carolina, nine out of ten child car seats are not installed properly. The mission of McLeod Safe Kids is to prevent unintentional injuries in children 19 and younger through education on important safety topics, including child passenger safety.

To that end, McLeod Safe Kids is now offering parents and guardians a free car seat education class each month at the Florence County Library (509 S. Dargan Street, Florence, SC 29506).

During the class, Safe Kids certified child passenger safety technicians will educate parents on the proper installation of child safety seats as well as the importance of using the correct car seat for each child.

Classes begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be held on the following dates: January 21, February 18, March 17, April 21, May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18, September 15, October 20, November 17, and December 15, 2016.

Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. To pre-register for a class or for more information on other important safety topics, please call McLeod Safe Kids Pee Dee/Coastal at (843) 777-5021. You can also visit www.McLeodSafeKids.org or find the group on Facebook under McLeod Safe Kids.
