McLeod Loris Seacoast to Offer Heart Health Lunch and Learn Seminar

McLeod Loris Seacoast is offering a free lunch and learn seminar at McLeod Seacoast. The seminar will feature cardiologist, Nathan Almeida, MD, of Pee Dee Cardiology, who will be discussing heart health, risks for developing heart disease and preventive measures that can be taken to maintain a healthy heart.

The seminar is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, at 12:00 p.m., in the auxiliary room at McLeod Seacoast. Dr. Almeida will focus on heart health and discuss the warning signs of heart attack in men and women. He will talk in depth about the preventive testing, such as a lipid profile, which can be done to monitor the heart and help reduce the risk of developing heart disease. He will also offer information about lifestyle changes that can be made to maintain a healthy heart and discuss ways to avoid reoccurrence if you have suffered a stroke or heart attack.
