McLeod Loris Seacoast Hosts Speech Screenings for Area Children

McLEOD LORIS 19 JULY 2013

(7/19/2013) – Parents concerned that their child may have a speech problem took advantage of free speech screenings last week at North Myrtle Beach Aquatic & Fitness Center. Screenings were conducted by a McLeod Loris Seacoast Speech-Language Pathologist.

Speech-language screenings are a brief assessment of a child’s speech sound production, language comprehension and expressive communications skills to determine if further speech and language evaluation and speech therapy are necessary.""

Speech and language are important for learning and communicating with others. Early assessment and treatment of speech problems can help promote a child’s development and relationships.

If you have questions, or would like to learn more about speech screenings or other services offered by McLeod Loris Seacoast, please call our Outreach Services department at (843) 390-8326.
