McLeod Health Welcomes These New Physicians

McLeod Health welcomes Amber Martin, DO, and Katee L. Wyant, MD, to the medical staff.

Dr. Martin, a family medicine physician, joins Dr. Heather Shelton, Dr. Stephanie Strickland, Dr. Spencer Matthews, and Physician Assistant Morgan Armstrong serving patients at McLeod Family Medicine South. Board Certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Martin treats patients of all ages with a broad spectrum of health care needs, ranging from primary care to more complicated medical needs including heart disease, diabetes, lung disease, kidney disease and multi-system diseases. Additionally, she manages musculoskeletal issues and has training in osteopathic manipulation. She received her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Spartanburg, South Carolina in 2019, and is a 2022 graduate of the McLeod Family Medicine Residency Program. A native of Mullins, Dr. Martin and her husband, Dwayne, are parents of two children, daughter Raylin and son Silas. Dr. Wyant provides obstetric and gynecological care at McLeod Health Clarendon. She joins Dr. Monica Ploetzke, Dr. Thomas Key, and Certified Nurse Midwives Tom Chappell, Rebecca Cartledge, Shay Dowdle and Allison Saran in serving patients at McLeod Women’s Care Clarendon. A native of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Dr. Wyant comes to McLeod following the completion of her residency training at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. She received her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Wyant enjoys helping expectant mothers bring new life into the world and the broad range of care that Obstetrics and Gynecology services provide to women of all ages.
