McLeod Health Welcomes These New Physicians

McLeod Health welcomes Dr. Amaninder Dhaliwal and Dr. Matthew Kellner to the medical staff.

Dr. Dhaliwal, an advanced endoscopist/gastroenterologist, joins fellow physicians Dr. Deepak Chowdhary, Dr. Terri Jaggers, Dr. Davinderbir Pannu, Dr. Tim Spurling, and Dr. John Wolford at the McLeod Digestive Health Center. A native of India, Dr. Dhaliwal is one of three physicians in his family, mentored by his two sisters who chose careers in medicine as well. He and his wife, Ragini, are parents of a daughter, Banee. Specialties/Areas of Expertise include Endoscopic Full Thickness Resection (EFTR), Fistula, leak and perforation closure, Transoral Gastric Outlet Reduction (TORe), Achalasia treatment and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), Fine needle aspirations/biopsy and Fiducial placement, Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), Barrett’s ablation, Endoscopic suturing, Colonoscopy, and Enteroscopy.

Dr. Kellner joins the Department of Inpatient Medicine at McLeod Loris Seacoast as a Hospitalist. Dr. Kellner comes to McLeod following the completion of his Internal Medicine residency training at New Hanover Regional Medical Center-UNC Wilmington. A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Kellner chose to pursue medicine following a successful career in insurance, building on a deep personal passion for healthcare. He and his wife, Tara Schumpert, are parents of two children, one boy and one girl. An avid sports fan and former college baseball player, Dr. Kellner loves spending time with his family, fishing, golf, and boating. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Kellner and his family to our McLeod Health community.
