McLeod Health welcomes John Lohlun, MD, and Troy B. Gamble, Jr., MD, to the medical staff.
Dr. Lohlun, a Vascular Access Surgeon, joins Dr. Bjerken serving patients at the Dialysis Access Center located at McLeod Health Loris. Board Certified in General Surgery, Dr. Lohlun provides care to patients with conditions affecting the kidneys, pancreas, small intestine, spleen and liver. Dr. Lohlun received his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1987. He completed his General Surgery Residency at New York Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, in 2003. He completed a fellowship training program in Surgical Intensive Care at the Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, New York, in 2004, and a Transplant Surgery Fellowship at the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis in 2013. Dr. Gamble joins Dr. Daniel Decamps, Dr. David Moon, and Physician Assistants Lisa Castles and Courtney Stanley in caring for patients at McLeod Primary Care Lake City. A native of Andrews, South Carolina, Dr. Gamble brings more than 40 years of primary care experience and more than 30 years as a hospice medical director. He is a graduate of Wofford College and the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed his residency at Richland Memorial Hospital, where he served as chief resident. Board Certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Gamble has earned national recognition, including repeated honors as one of the Best Doctors in America®. He is excited to return closer to home and welcomes patients to continue their care at this location with plans to join the new McLeod Family Medicine Kingstree office in 2026.
