McLeod Health Welcomes These New Physicians

McLeod Health welcomes Dr. Eunice Abrams and Dr. Paul Abrams to the medical staff of McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Eunice Abrams is a Neurologist caring for patients with McLeod Inpatient Physicians. She joins the Stroke and Neurology Services team at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Abrams received her medical degree from the University of Iowa, Roy and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine. She completed her neurology residency at the University of Michigan, and Neuromuscular fellowship at Duke University. These specialties have afforded her the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in the management of challenging neurological disease processes. She enjoys patient care, and strives to provide a welcoming environment where her patients feel that they are part of a team.

A native of Haiti, Dr. Abrams is fluent in English, French and Haitian Creole. She is married to McLeod Internal Medicine Hospitalist Dr. Paul Abrams. They have three children: twins Nia and Janelle, and their youngest, Hope.

Dr. Paul Abrams is an Internal Medicine physician caring for patients with the McLeod Inpatient Physicians Hospitalists Team. He also received his medical degree from the University of Iowa, Roy and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Joseph Mercy in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dr. Abrams and his wife Dr. Eunice Abrams wanted a hospital where they could both grow professionally. They searched all over the United States and believed that McLeod and Florence was the best fit for them and their family.

“I enjoy spending time in educating my patients,” said Dr. Abrams. “I want to make sure they understand their disease process and the next steps in their care. It is a partnership and I always make sure the patient is a key member in any part of the decision making.”

A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Dr. Abrams enjoys chess, guitar and spending time with his family.
