McLeod Health Hospitals and Home Health Recognized for Excellence and Patient Satisfaction

The teams of McLeod Regional Medical Center and McLeod Home Health were honored for excellence in health care and patient satisfaction on June 13.

McLeod Health hospitals were recently recognized for providing excellence in healthcare by national healthcare research leader Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC). The awards were presented during PRC’s 2018 Excellence in Healthcare Conference in May. Additionally, McLeod Home Health has received Strategic Healthcare Programs’ (SHP) Best Superior Performer award for achieving an overall patient satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20 percent of all clients in 2017.

The annual SHP Best program was developed to recognize home health agencies across the country that consistently provide high-quality service to their patients. SHP Best award recipients are determined by ranking the overall score for all SHP Home Health Care Consumer Assessment of Health Care Survey (HHCAHPS) clients, which includes more than 4,500 home health agencies. SHP focuses its efforts on identifying and recognizing organizations that have made patient satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the HHCAHPS survey.

For 18 years, PRC’s annual Excellence in Healthcare Conference has brought together hundreds of healthcare leaders to focus on transforming the patient experience. The awards recognize organizations and individuals who achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experiences, healthcare employee engagement and/or physician alignment and engagement based on surveys of their patients.
