McLeod Health is pleased to celebrate a major milestone at its newest facility – the McLeod Health Carolina Forest Surgery Center – with the completion of the team’s 100th procedure this week.

Opened in Spring 2025, the Surgery Center staff performed their first procedure on May 27 and have quickly become a vital resource for outpatient surgical care in Horry County. As the largest Surgery Center in the county, the facility reflects McLeod Health’s commitment to expanding access to high-quality, specialized care.

The McLeod Health Carolina Forest Surgery Center has four operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 17 pre- and post-op procedure rooms. Various specialty services are offered, including urology; gastroenterology; plastic surgery; and orthopedics.
