McLeod Health Carolina Forest Hospital Now Admitting Patients

McLEOD HEALTH CAROLINA FOREST 24 JANUARY 2025

McLeod Health Carolina Forest Hospital is now admitting patients. The hospital successfully completed the licensure survey for the first four beds and began admitting patients on Tuesday, January 21.

Construction is underway as expansion continues on the 48-bed hospital that will serve the growing population of Horry County and the Grand Strand area. The four-story building will house operating suites, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory services, providing a full range of medical capabilities. The McLeod Health Carolina Forest hospital, anticipated to open in 2026, will be the first new hospital built in Horry County since McLeod Health Seacoast opened in 2011.

The McLeod Health Carolina Forest Campus is home to a wide variety of physician practices and outpatient services and conveniently located in the heart of Myrtle Beach and Horry County, SC. It is one of eight hospitals in the McLeod Health system.
