(5/10/11) – The McLeod Children’s Hospital is now accepting enrollment for the 2011 Camp Health, a free and fun camp for children ages 5 – 12 with chronic illnesses such as Asthma, Sickle Cell, and Type I Diabetes. The camp will be held Monday June 13 – Friday June 17 in the McLeod Children’s Hospital Child Life Activity Center.
Registration is from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m., with camp activities held from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served to children participating in the camp.
The camp will include fun and exciting activities for kids, which could include swimming, bowling, and many surprise outings. Related health information and other educational materials will be provided, with nurses, dieticians, and other hospital staff on hand. This year’s camp will feature an "All Aboard McLeod Camp Health" train theme.
