Hands 2 Hearts Group Donates to McLeod Health Clarendon

McLEOD HEALTH CLARENDON 14 NOVEMBER 2023

The Hands 2 Hearts (formerly known as the Knitting Ladies) from Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Manning meet once a week and crochet baby hats and some baby blankets for patients at McLeod Health Clarendon. The group started supporting the hospital in 2019. Every two to three months they deliver anywhere from 25 to 30 hats to Volunteer Services.

The blankets are given to the moms that have suffered a loss, or if a new baby is heading to Florence or Columbia for intensive care. In February, they give red hats with a white heart to new moms not only to recognize Valentine’s day but to promote heart healthy month.

As a part of the Volunteer Ministry at the hospital, McLeod Health Volunteer Chaplain “Preacher Pat” Flood also visits new mom’s and delivers to them a newborn hat with a small white bible.
