McLEOD HEALTH SEACOAST 27 MAY 2025

Michelle Ice, a McLeod Cancer Patient at the Coast, was honored to be the first patient to ring the bell signifying the completion of her treatment on May 22 at the new McLeod Center for Cancer Treatment and Research in Horry County. Michelle established care with McLeod in November of 2024 and started her initial treatment in December of 2024 for breast cancer. A patient of McLeod Oncologist Dr. Donny Huynh, she completed that treatment in February of 2025 and moved on to her subsequent treatment in March which concluded on May 22.

In about a month, Michelle will undergo a bilateral mastectomy, so her journey isn’t over but the treatment phase is. Nicole Spencer, Director of Oncology Services, describes Michelle as amazing and said, “She has smiled through it all even when there were complications.”
