For the eighth year in a row, members of the Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee (Pee Dee area) donated food, paper products and books as well as $1,100 to the Guest House at McLeod on Thursday, February 23 as part of Food Check-Out Week.

According to the Farm Bureau, this is the week that denotes the time when the average American has earned enough disposable income to buy his/her family’s food for the entire year.

The Guest House at McLeod is fully funded through charitable donations to the McLeod Foundation. The house provides families from outside the Florence area comfortable accommodations with a warm home environment while their loved ones are receiving treatment at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
