A Love for Cardiology Guides a Generous Heart

McLEOD HEALTH FOUNDATION 15 OCTOBER 2015

"DrA love for cardiology and the practice of medicine is evident in every aspect of Dr. Amit Pande’s life. Not only does Dr. Pande nurture practices in both Loris and Seacoast while living in Florence, he recently made a significant gift to "Excellence: The Campaign for McLeod Seacoast" in support of the hospital expansion and more importantly, the new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

The new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is designed to meet the increased demand in Horry County, and complement the development and expansion of facilities and services at McLeod Seacoast. Dr. Pande knows how critical moments are to a patient’s life and having a cardiac cath lab "close to home" will be imperative to continue meeting his patients’ needs. "As a member of Pee Dee Cardiology, I believe in my work and McLeod Health," says Dr. Pande. "I am committed to supporting the current expansion initiatives and being able to provide the highest quality of care to my patients. It is an honor to be able to give back to my community the gifts that will continue to give long after I leave," he continues.

This is not Dr. Pande’s first gift to McLeod Health. He also named an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) room at McLeod Seacoast in honor of his parents, Dr. VS Pande and Dr. Leena Pande. Dr. Pande is one of many extraordinary donors to the McLeod Health Foundation. He is also a member of the "Excellence" Campaign Management Council and has encouraged many of his colleagues, patients and members of the community to support the campaign, leading by example.
