McLeod Health Welcomes These New Physicians

McLeod Health welcomes Kushagra Maini, MD, and Laine B. Way, MD, to the medical staff.

Dr. Maini offers interventional pain management and neurology care serving patients at McLeod Interventional Pain Seacoast and McLeod Neurology Seacoast. He comes to McLeod Health from Augusta University in Georgia where he completed his Neurology Residency and Interventional Chronic Pain Management Fellowship. Dr. Maini is highly skilled in treating patients with Neuromuscular, Central and Peripheral Nervous System disorders. These conditions include epilepsy, stroke, headaches, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, peripheral neuropathy, spine, chronic pain, joint pain, as well as musculoskeletal pain. McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Physician Associates are pleased to welcome Dr. Way who joins Dr. Lisa Heichberger and Nurse Practitioners Susan Caulkins, FNP, and Suzanne Johnson, FNP, in serving patients as part of McLeod Primary Care Clarendon. Dr. Way received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and was the recipient of the Merck Manual Academic Excellence for the Class of 2019. For her residency training in Family Medicine, Dr. Way is a member of the 2022 inaugural class of the McLeod Family Medicine Center Rural Residency Program, serving patients in Manning in both the outpatient and inpatient settings with McLeod Health Clarendon. A native of Manning, Dr. Way returned to her hometown to provide the full spectrum of primary care to families, friends, and neighbors of all ages. She and her husband, Nick, have one daughter, Cora.
