McLeod Health welcomes Dr. Morganne B. Beard and Dr. Hans E. Blunck to the medical staff.

Dr. Beard joins McLeod Anesthesia and will serve patients at McLeod Health Loris Seacoast. Board Eligible in Anesthesiology, Dr. Beard received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Mirimar, Florida, in 2015. She completed an Internship in Categorical Anesthesiology in 2017 and a Residency in Clinical Anesthesiology in 2020, both at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. She also holds a Fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago that she completed in 2021. A native of Hickory, North Carolina, and a graduate of Duke University, Dr. Beard and her husband, McLeod Surgeon Dr. Hans Blunck, have one son, Keane, and a cat rescued in medical school. Dr. Blunck joins the McLeod Health Loris Seacoast Surgery team and will be seeing patients at the Little River and Carolina Forest offices. Dr. Blunck is trained in both laparoscopic and robotic surgery and specializes in advanced GI minimally invasive surgery. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Blunck comes from a large family of physicians with his father, brother, and sister all choosing careers in medicine. Board Certified in General Surgery, Dr. Blunck received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Miramar, Florida, in 2015. He completed his Residency at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Science, in Chicago, Illinois, in 2021, and a Fellowship in Advanced GI Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Florida in Jacksonville in 2022.
