Dr. Thomas DiStefano talks with Jane Pigg on WCRE about his one year anniversary caring for patients at McLeod Health Cheraw.

On November 16, 2018, Dr. Thomas DiStefano, a McLeod Health Orthopedic Surgeon, appeared on the WCRE radio show in Cheraw. Dr. DiStefano spoke with Owner Jane Pigg about his experience, over the past year, performing total knee replacements at McLeod Health Cheraw and offered tips on common orthopedic conditions and treatment options.

Dr. DiStefano joined the Medical Staff of McLeod Health Cheraw and McLeod Physician Associates in November 2017. He cares for patients at McLeod Orthopaedics Cheraw. Prior to joining McLeod, Dr. DiStefano served as an orthopedic surgeon and Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at SSM Health St. Francis Hospital-Maryville, Missouri. He also served as the primary team physician and surgeon for Northwest Missouri State University for 18 years.

Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. DiStefano received his medical degree from Tulane University Medical School, New Orleans, Louisiana in 1993. He completed an internship in General Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia in 1994, followed by his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery in 1998. He completed a Fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine at Tulane in 1999.
