This class provides parents-to-be with guidance and practice taking care of both mother and baby the first six weeks after birth. Both parents are encouraged to attend. Topics covered include:
- Feeding, both breastfeeding and formula, and burping
- Bathing and skin care
- Circumcision and umbilical cord care
- Changing diapers and handling newborns; newborn safety
- Infant cues and crying
- Physical and emotional care of the new mom
