Why I Chose McLeod: I chose McLeod because it is a place of opportunities. The Faculty and Residents are eager to offer procedural, traveling and teaching experiences. The Faculty is very approachable and helpful in helping one become the physician he/she wishes to become. The fact that McLeod is an unopposed program adds to the availability of responsibilities, which is helpful in assuming I am prepared once I finish the program. I am prepared once I finish the program. I feel confident that I will be able to practice anywhere competitively from rural to the inner city. Moreover, the Residents are common people with a pride for excellence who are easy going. Lastly, there is a good variety of pathology here. McLeod is like a gemstone hidden in Florence, SC. Unless you come here to experience it you may never know.
