Why I Chose McLeod: I plan to practice full spectrum Family Medicine in a rural area. McLeod offers great medical and procedural training, which will be invaluable when practicing in a rural environment.
Beth is a 1979 graduate of the University of Kansas. She has been with the McLeod Occupational Therapy Hand Center since 1996. Beth has a varied professional background in inpatient and outpatient rehab, administration and teaching for specialized care in the outpatient setting. She has been treating hand and upper extremity injuries for 30 years.
Mrs. Hazelwood has been a McLeod Foundation Board Trustee since 1987. When her term expired in 2010, she rolled off the Board for a year and was reinstated in 2011. She is past Chair of the Board and serves on the Executive Committee, Planning Committee, Grants Committee, and is Chair of the McLeod Angels Advisory Council and Chair of the Development Committee. Her hobbies include music and spending time at her mountain cottage with her husband and grandchildren. She is married to Dr. William Hazelwood, and they have two children.
