Paul is a 1997 graduate of Kent State University and 2000 graduate of the University of Indianapolis. Paul has a varied professional background in outpatient physical therapy with an emphasis in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine patients. He has experience working with Recreational, Scholastic, Collegiate, and Professional athletics across the life span. Paul has been a member of the McLeod Sports Medicine team since 2001.
Adam is a 2007 graduate of Cedarville University and a 2009 graduate of Western Michigan University where he earned his Master's degree in Exercise and Sports Medicine. In 2015, he completed his Doctorate degree in Education with an emphasis in Leadership from Liberty University. He has experience working with Collegiate and High School athletics. He also has extensively worked with the ImPact concussion assessment program and building awareness for Sickle Cell Trait and the student-athlete. Adam is the Certified Athletic Trainer for Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School and is the Athletic Training Outreach Supervisor. He has been a member of the McLeod Sports Medicine team since 2009.
Carlton earned a Bachelors degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1993 and received a Masters degree in Health Promotion and Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1996. Carlton has experience with collegiate athletics as he was the head athletic trainer at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2000-2013. He has also worked with professional organizations such as the Chicago Cubs, Washington Redskins, and Atlanta Braves. Carlton returns to McLeod as the Athletic Trainer for The Marlboro County Bulldogs. Prior to his return, Carlton was Head Athletic Trainer at Mt. De Sales High School in Macon GA.
Heide is a 1998 graduate of Clemson University and a 2004 graduate of the United States Sports Academy. She comes to McLeod having primarily worked in collegiate athletics but is currently working with Lake City High School as their Certified Athletic Trainer. Heide has been a member of the McLeod Sports Medicine team since 2013.
Joe is a 1999 graduate of Catawba College and a 2001 graduate of Western Michigan University where he earned a Master of Arts in Athletic Training. He has experience working with High School, Collegiate and Professional athletics. He has been a member of the McLeod Sports Medicine team since 2004. He spent 10 years as an athletic trainer for Francis Marion University. Currently he is the head athletic trainer for Lamar high school. From 2004-2005, Joe was the head athletic trainer for the Pee Dee Pride, and ECHL ice hockey team based in Florence. Joe is FMS certified, and also has experience with development and implementation of summer strength and conditioning programs for area youth. From 2001-2004, Joe served as the associate athletic trainer at Olivet (Mich.) College, an NCAA Division III member school.
Matthew is a 2007 graduate of Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA, and a 2010 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. He has been a member of the McLeod Sports Medicine team since 2010. Matthew uses his background and training in fitness, sport biomechanics, movement quality, muscle function, and manual therapy to optimize recovery and performance for his patients. He is FMS certified, has experience working with post-concussive patients, and extensive experience working with both high school and collegiate athletes of various sports backgrounds. Matthew has a special interest in the assessment, rehabilitation, and performance of the overhead throwing athlete and has the privilege of working with athletes across the lifespan on a daily basis.
David is a 2005 and 2007 graduate of Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. He received his Bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science with a specialization in Athletic Training in 2005. In 2007 he received his Master's in Education Technology while completing a Graduate Assistantship at Rowan University. Prior to joining McLeod Sports Medicine, he spent four years working in a physical therapy clinic and private high school in New Jersey. He is currently the Certified Athletic Trainer for West Florence High School. David has been a member of the McLeod Sports Medicine team since 2011.
Angel is a Florence County native. She is a May 2010 graduate from Charleston Southern University where she received a Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training. She is the Certified Athletic Trainer for Johnsonville High School in Johnsonville. Angel has been a member of the McLeod Sports Medicine team since 2010.
Andrea comes to McLeod Sports Medicine after completing a Graduate Assistantship with Purdue University. She received a Master's of Science degree in May 2010, with an emphasis in Athletic Training Education. Andrea has experience in the clinic, high school, and collegiate settings. She received a Bachelor's of Arts in Athletic Training in 2003 from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Andrea is the Certified Athletic Trainer for Francis Marion University in Florence. She has been a member of the McLeod Sports Medicine team since 2010.
Brian is a 2008 graduate of Boise State University and a 2010 graduate of Utah State University where he earned a Master's of Science in Sports Medicine. While at Utah State, Brian worked with football, men's and women's track and the women's basketball team. Brian is the Certified Athletic Trainer for North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center, Pee Dee Academy and Creekbridge High School. He also provides weekly injury screenings at North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center. Brian has been a member of the McLeod Sports Medicine team since 2010.
