McLeod Sports Medicine Challenge 5K and 10K Run/Walk

The McLeod Sports Medicine Challenge 5K and 10K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2013. The event is designed for both competitive and recreational athletes.

About the 5K & 10K Run/Walk

The Run/Walk course is USA Track and Field Certified. Technical direction is managed by Carolina Running Company, Inc.

Prizes awarded to the top three overall Male and Female winners:

Prizes valued at $100, $50, and $25 will be awarded to the top three overall male and female winnrs.
$100 cash bonus awarded for setting a new course record.
Medals awarded for each age division.

5K and 10K Race proceeds benefit the Geoffrey Kier Memorial Athletic Excellence Award Scholarship Fund.

The scholarship recognizes student athletes who personify excellence. The athletes chosen exhibit excellence in academics, athletics, and also possess strong leadership skills. The scholarship is awarded annually to college-bound high school seniors and is in the amount of up to $1,000. The athletes are selected from public and private high schools that are contracted with McLeod Sports Medicine.
