George Terry, a Resident of the Florence Community, Had Cataract Surgery in August 2003, at the McLeod Ambulatory Surgery Center
Dr. Zakhour met with Terry prior to performing his surgery.
"Dr. Zakhour is a very competent, compassionate physician," Terry said. "Well in advance to the procedure, Dr. Zakhour talked about the surgical process, including post-operative follow-up." This is the second cataract removal surgery Terry has received from the McLeod Ambulatory Surgery Center. "I returned because of the great service and the friendly staff," noted Terry.
The staff assisted him with his insurance information months before the surgery, giving Terry one less item to worry about as his surgery approached. He also enjoyed the flexibility the office showed in scheduling his appointment.
"The pleasant experience during the first surgical experience," Terry said, "gave me the comfort and confidence that made me return." Now, months after surgery, Terry is able to see more clearly, especially on the golf course and in the woods while hunting.
All of the areas of the McLeod Ambulatory Surgery Center work closely to make a patient's experience, both physically and emotionally, a positive one. Complete with an admitting and discharge area, the small, personal environment keeps confusion and apprehension to a minimum. "It's a unique place to have surgery," said Baggett, "and it is comfortable, convenient and safe.
