Care for Terminal Patients

In 1979 a small group of volunteers formed an organization dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to patients and families throughout the Pee Dee facing a terminal illness. Today that dedication lives on as the mission of McLeod Hospice.

For more than thirty years our staff and volunteers have committed themselves to providing a compassionate approach to hospice care in a manner that affirms life, giving patients and their families the support they need.

As one of the region's only nonprofit hospice providers, McLeod Hospice provides care 24/7 in Florence, Darlington, Dillon, Marion, Lee, Williamsburg and Clarendon Counties. Referrals can be made by family members, friends or others involved in health care agencies. Patients are admitted based on recommendation of their physician and on need, regardless of their ability to pay.

Hours/Coverage

  • Office Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • 24/7 coverage through an emergency on-call service, including holidays. A qualified nurse is available to accept patient calls, referrals and to arrange for patient services as needed.
