What is McLeod Men?
McLeod Men is an association of men organized under the auspices of the McLeod Foundation. The purpose of the McLeod Men is to provide healthcare-related educational opportunities for men and to develop their knowledge of the importance of philanthropy on the provision of healthcare for our region. The membership will create a fund to invest effectively in projects that will build and strengthen Foundation-supported programs through the power of joint philanthropy.
What are the membership dues?
The fully tax-deductible membership dues are $100 annually.
How will the funds be used?
The dues will be pooled and held as the McLeod Men Fund, which will then be used to support programs and services of the McLeod Foundation with a focus on outreach efforts related to men's health. The membership will determine on how the fund shall be utilized for the benefit of patients and families.
How often will McLeod Men meet?
The membership will meet at quarterly breakfast meetings on the first Wednesday of the month, unless there is a conflict. The year begins with the October meeting followed by December, February and April. A health-related educational presentation will be the highlight of each meeting and include a presentation on funding needs. Meetings will be open to members only except for the first meeting of the year which will be used for membership recruitment.
