MRMC Cardiology
While many hospital catheterization laboratories diagnose heart problems, the McLeod Regional Medical Center Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory can actually treat the problem with advanced therapeutic and invasive procedures. Cardiologists at McLeod conduct more than 4,300 heart catheterization, angioplasties and other therapeutic procedures a year.
At McLeod, there are nine interventional cardiologists, nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists on staff. It is unusual to have such a large number of specialized cardiologists on staff, but with the high incidence of heart disease in this region, the strength of this team reflects McLeod's commitment to offer quality heart care.
