Mills Appointed to Investigative Review Committee By S.C. Board of Nursing

(4/1/2013) McLeod Loris Seacoast is pleased to announce that Amanda Mills, RN, BSN, MSN, Associate Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, has been selected as a professional licensee member of the South Carolina Board of Nursing's Investigative Review Committee (IRC).

The role of the IRC is to review the results of Board investigations to determine whether sufficient evidence exists to warrant formal proceedings in the case of violations of the Board's professional or occupational practices. After thorough review, the IRC makes a recommendation to the Board to dismiss the complaint, issue a formal complaint or issue a letter of caution.

The Committee is comprised of the agency's chief investigator, the Board's administrator, a Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) attorney from the Office of General Counsel and a professional member or members appointed by the Board who is not an LLR employee or current Commission member. 

A lifelong member of Loris, Mills graduated from Loris High School. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, she went on to earn her Master's Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She has been employed at McLeod Loris Seacoast for nearly 27 years.
