McLeod Loris Seacoast Surgery Welcomes Dr. Amanda Turbeville

(9/9/2013)  McLeod Loris Seacoast welcomes Amanda Turbeville, M.D., to McLeod Loris Seacoast Surgery, a McLeod Physician Associates practice. Dr. Turbeville joins Dr. Kenneth Mincey and Dr. Eric Young, and is now accepting new patients.

Dr. Turbeville comes to McLeod from Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she completed her residency in General Surgery. Dr. Turbeville is originally from Summerville, South Carolina, and is excited to return to the area.

"After completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I chose to continue my education in medical school to go deeper into the science of medicine while still caring for patients," said

Dr. Turbeville. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, South Carolina.

Dr. Turbeville enjoys spending time with family, reading, travelling, kayaking, and going to the beach.

McLeod Loris Seacoast Surgery offers general surgery care including diagnosis and treatment of abdominal and intestinal issues in the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts. In addition to treating patients for diseases of the thyroid, skin, breast, soft tissue and hernias, they also specialize in minimally invasive procedures, endoscopy and wound care.

Additionally, McLeod Loris Seacoast Surgery has relocated its Little River practice to Seacoast Medical Park, located on the McLeod Seacoast hospital campus, at 3980 Highway 9 East, Suite 100, in Little River, South Carolina. Seacoast Medical Park features a variety of physician specialists and is adjacent to the hospital, providing greater access to health resources for patients. This new space is designed to provide patients with the best care and experience possible, and offers more space to expand services.

The Loris address continues to be 3617 Casey Street, Suite D, in the Loris Medical Plaza on the McLeod Loris hospital campus.
