McLeod Seacoast Establishes Fellows Program

Community leaders assembled at McLeod Seacoast to participate in the first McLeod Seacoast Fellows Program. During this six month series of classes, participants learn and explore complex issues driving healthcare today. Foundation Grants Generously to McLeod Loris Seacoast

Thanks to the support and generosity of our local community, the McLeod Health Foundation, supporting McLeod Loris Seacoast, has granted more than $93,000 to various departments at McLeod Loris Seacoast.

The Foundation raises money each year from individuals and corporate donors and by hosting various events and sales. The mission of the Foundation is to generate philanthropic and community support to perpetuate medical excellence at McLeod Health.

McLeod Health to Locate Medical Complex in Carolina Forest

McLeod Health will soon open a medical office complex to provide the community with more convenient access to physicians and outpatient servicesin Carolina Forest. This will be the initial phase of development of its McLeod Health Carolina Forest Campus, in addition to the current emergency department and other expansions underway at McLeod Seacoast also in Horry County.

Dr. David Bjerken Joins McLeod Loris Seacoast

Dr. David S. Bjerken has joined Dr. Christopher Cunningham, Dr. Gabor Winkler and Dr. Carmen Piccolo at McLeod Vascular Associates. Dr. Bjerken comes to McLeod with 24 years of vascular surgery experience and a sub-specialty in dialysis access surgery and percutaneous intervention.

The McLeodHealth Foundation benefitting McLeod Loris Seacoast announces the Sporting Clays Classic presented by Sportsman’s Choice Marine. The event will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Low Country Preserve in Tabor City, NC. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Children’s Services at McLeod Loris Seacoast.

Registration for the Sporting Clays Classic will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the tournament starts at 10:00 a.m. Lunch and awards will immediately follow.
