(5/03/10) - The McLeod Sports Medicine Peak Performance Sports Specific Training Program is for any athlete, ages 14 and older interested in improving their athletic capabilities.
This intense training program begins Monday, June 7 and concludes Tuesday, July 27, 2009. Participants have the option of attending either the 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. session or the 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. session for the duration of the program. Peak Performance will be held at the McLeod Health & Fitness Center.
Throughout the program Peak Performance conditioning professionals will concentrate on performance enhancement. This will be accomplished through a scientifically and individually based training program designed to enhance sport specific strength/power, coordination/agility, endurance and flexibility. The program consists of pre and post performance testing, proper lifting training/progression, flexibility, speed/running technique drills, plyometric/proprioceptive training, core strength training, nutrition counseling, mental preparation, and sport specific agility. This program is designed to help the athlete achieve their full athletic potential.
