(2/08/13) - McLeod Loris Seacoast is hosting a monthly nutrition series featuring a wide variety of topics designed to benefit people of all ages. The classes, which will be held at the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic & Fitness Center, will feature a McLeod Loris Seacoast Clinical Dietician.
The next segment in the series will be held on Tuesday, February 19, at 10:00 a.m. Clinical Dietician Natalie Naughton will be discussing Osteoporosis, what causes it, who is at risk for developing it and ways to prevent and treat this sometimes debilitating condition.
â€śOsteoporosis is characterized by reduced bone mass and it is important to know your best sources of calcium and Vitamin D in order to improve your overall bone health, â€ś said Naughton. â€śOne in two women and one in four men have increased bone loss.â€ť
