(2/08/13) - McLeod Loris Seacoast is hosting a monthly nutrition series featuring a wide variety of topics designed to benefit people of all ages. The classes, which will be held at the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic & Fitness Center, will feature a McLeod Loris Seacoast Clinical Dietician.
The next segment in the series will be held on Tuesday, February 19, at 10:00 a.m. Clinical Dietician Natalie Naughton will be discussing Osteoporosis, what causes it, who is at risk for developing it and ways to prevent and treat this sometimes debilitating condition.
“Osteoporosis is characterized by reduced bone mass and it is important to know your best sources of calcium and Vitamin D in order to improve your overall bone health, “ said Naughton. “One in two women and one in four men have increased bone loss.”
