(3/21/12) - On Friday, March 30, McLeod Loris Seacoast along with healthcare organizations across the nation will observe National Doctor’s Day, a time set aside each year to thank physicians for the many contributions they bring to our local communities.
On March 30, 1958, a resolution commemorating Doctor’s Day was adopted by the US House of Representatives, and in 1990 legislation was introduced in the House and Senate to establish a national Doctor’s Day. Following overwhelming approval by the House and Senate, on October 30, 1990, President George Bush signed a resolution designating March 30th as National Doctor’s Day.
“Our healthcare system has benefited over the years by a very competent and stable medical staff. A key component to our success has been our physicians,” stated James Craigie, MD, vice president of medical affairs. “We are proud of them and the legacy of care they have provided.”
