Abby C. Lambert Named Supervisor of McLeod Dillon Cardiac Rehabilitation

(11/28/12) - McLeod Medical Center Dillon is pleased to announce that Abby Lambert, RN, has been named Supervisor of Cardiac Rehabilitation.

"McLeod Dillon offers a great Cardiac rehab program that consists of prescribed exercise and education program that help individuals with heart disease return to a more normal and productive lifestyle," said Abby.

The McLeod Dillon Cardiac Rehabilitation program was established over twenty years. "I would love to see the program grow even more, both by increasing retention of our current members as well as welcoming new patients. Heart Disease affects so many people in our region. If we can educate our community on prevention and treatment of this disease, many lives and families will be changed for the better," said Abby.

In her new role, Abby will oversee the day to day operations of the department. She will be the first point of contact with patients entering the program and will be their nurse partner through their journey to recovery.

Abby started in Cardiac Rehabilitation at Marion County Medical Center in 2006 as an Exercise Physiologist. After becoming a Registered Nurse (RN), she stayed in Cardiac Rehabilitation where she later became supervisor.

"I chose to pursue my nursing degree because I wanted something both challenging and rewarding," said Abby. "I want to help people lead a better life for themselves."

Since beginning her career at McLeod Dillon Abby has found "everyone so welcoming since day one." She continued, "I look forward to my future here with this great group of people."

Abby has a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Anderson College (2002) and an Associates Degree in Nursing from Horry Georgetown Technical College (2007).

Abby is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Abby is a native of Mullins, NC. She and her husband Hal currently resident in Marion, SC. They have two children, Lauren (3 years) and Parker (6 months). Abby enjoys spending time with her family, couponing, and exercising when she is not at work.
