Camp Jessie's Kids Scheduled for Saturday, April 6

Camp Jessie's Kids, a day camp for children who have suffered the loss of someone they care deeply about (for example, a special family member, relative or friend) or for those who have someone in their family who is very sick at this time, will be held on Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

The camp is open to children ages four through 14. Parents or guardians are asked to accompany children who are four to six years old.

The McLeod Diabetes Center and the McLeod Outpatient Wound Center are now offering a monthly diabetes foot clinic on the second Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the McLeod Medical Plaza, 800 E. McLeod Offers Prevention Study to Patients Treated for Colon Cancer

In conjunction with Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, the McLeod Cancer Research Department announces its participation in a national prevention study for patients who have recently been treated for colon cancer.

This National Cancer Institute (NCI) sponsored study evaluates the cholesterol drug, Rosuvastatin (Crestor) as a treatment to reduce the risk of colon cancer. Rosuvastatin is a statin, a class of drugs that lower cholesterol.
