McLeod volunteers make a meaningful difference everyday to our patients, visitors and staff. These dedicated men and women work in all areas of the medical center, donating hundreds of hours each month. We offer volunteer placements at our reception desks, critical care waiting areas, gift shops, Children's Hospital and many other exciting departments.

If you are interested in becoming a McLeod Volunteer, please call the Volunteer Services office at (843) 777-2082 or download the McLeod Volunteer Application and a SC Law Enforcement background check form. Simply complete the SC background check form and return it with your application. Please note the cost of the background check is covered by the medical center. We require a note from your physician stating that you are physically and mentally able to perform volunteer duties.

Once you complete the two forms, please return them to the Volunteer Services office in the McLeod Pavilion Tower (first floor) or mail the completed forms to McLeod Volunteer Services, P.O. Box 100551, Florence, SC 29502-0551.

The McLeod Volunteer Office will contact you when they receive your application and background check form. All new volunteers are also required to attend an orientation session which is offered each Monday from 8:30 am until 11:30 am. You will be scheduled for this orientation and other training when you meet with the Director of Volunteer Services.
