Harriet Jeffords, PT is the Director of Rehabilitation Services at McLeod Regional Medical Center. She is a 1985 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina and received a Masters in Health Services Administration also from the MUSC in 1990. Harriet's varied clinical background includes acute care, inpatient rehab focusing on spinal cord injury, and outpatient orthopedics. Specialized training includes Maitland Mobilizations, CranioSacral, Jones Strain/Counterstrain, taping, complex shoulders and McKenzie Low Back techniques. Harriet's professional interests include therapy of the spine and shoulders and other orthopedic problems. Harriet has been treating patients at McLeod since 1989. |

Emily Adams, MSRPT is the Physical Therapy Supervisor at McLeod Regional Medical Center. She is a 2001 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. Emily's clinical background includes extensive training for neurological conditions in acute care rehab, student education, cardiac conditions, neurologic conditions, and bariatric rehab.
Emily's professional interests include rehab for stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and cardiac conditions. Emily has been a part of the leadership at McLeod since 2002, and a member of the McLeod Rehab team since 2001. |

Russell DelaPena, PT is a 1989 graduate of Emilio Aguinaldo College of the Philippines. Russell's clinical background is in skilled nursing home rehab, acute care, and outpatient therapies. He has specialized training in the McKenzie approach for spine and extremities, vertigo, and manual treatment of the neck, back, and SI joints. Russell's professional interests include geriatric issues, spine mobilization and treatment, vestibular rehab, and treatment of neurologic conditions. Karen's clinical background includes long term care, pediatric rehab, and specialized training in outpatient orthopedic therapy, sports medicine, chronic pain management and women's health. Marty's expansive clinical background includes acute care, VA inpatient rehab, home health, outpatient adult orthopedic and neurologic conditions, pain management, administration, neurological rehab, geriatrics, and program development. Her special interests include geriatrics, spinal cord rehab, and orthopedic therapy. Martha's extensive clinical background includes specialized training in foot care and sacroiliac joint dysfunction. She spent 11 years treating patients in the United States Air Force. Her special interests are treating sacroiliac joint dysfunction. Martha has been employed with McLeod since 1993. |

Elizabeth has been a certified aquatics instructor since 2002, specialized training in McKenzie approach for spinal rehab, therapeutic taping, fall prevention, and aquatic rehab techniques. Ashley also completed a Wound Care Certification from the Wound Care Education Institute in 2008. She joined McLeod Rehabilitation Services in 2001. |

Bryan received his Occupational Therapy Degree from the University of Central Arkansas and an MBA from Middleton University. He completed his Lymphedema Certification with the Academy of Lymphatic Studies in 2009. Bryan has a varied professional background in Pain Management, Functional Capacity Evaluations, inpatient occupational therapy and Lymphedema treatment. He also has a diverse background as an Execute Field Representative and a member of the United States Air Force, receiving Customer Focus Awards, supervising an Honor Guard Team, and serving as Customer Assistance and Special Projects Manager. John received a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University and has worked since 1978 in returning injured workers to their jobs. He has published in the Journal of Occupational Therapy, and this article is part of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) database. John has presented at regional, national, and international programs on the topics of Occupational Therapy practice and Industrial Rehabilitation. He has worked with patients of varied diagnoses, including orthopedics, neurosurgery, neurology, rheumatology, cardiology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. |
