McLeod Health has more than 300 active medical staff. Our diverse Medical Staff is Board Certified or Board Eligible in their respective specialty.
How many beds does your hospital have?
McLeod Regional Medical Center (MRMC) is a 453 bed hospital. MRMC is part of the McLeod Health Network. McLeod Health also includes a 98 bed hospital in Dillon and a 49 bed hospital in Darlington. We also have a Behavioral Health hospital located in Darlington (23 beds), a home health agency, a full-service cancer center, a 12 bed Hospice House, a 100+ bed Children's Hospital, 2 Urgent Care facilities, and approximately 30 medical practices throughout the Northeast region of South Carolina.

McLeod's service area is approximately 865,000 people in a 12-county region. Florence and its surrounding counties equal approximately 200,000 people.
How is the malpractice environment?
South Carolina recently enacted Tort Reform in our state, creating a "physician friendly" environment for the medical profession. As a non-profit organization, McLeod qualifies for certain liability limits for a single occurrence, as long as the employed physician is acting within the scope of his/her employment.
Are you offering hospital employment?
McLeod offers employment as well as an income guarantee. This is based on the physician opportunity.
What is the pay range for your opportunities?
We base our physician salaries on the MGMA data, as well as, 4 other salary surveys. Compensation packages are based on skills and experience.

Yes. We are a Level III trauma center.

There are over 100 beds dedicated to critically ill patients that stay in our intensive care units.
Do you have any academic affiliations?
We have a Family Medicine Residency Program on site. It has been in existence for 28 years and graduates 6-8 Residents each year. Also, some of our physicians are affiliated with either the University of South Carolina or the Medical University of SC.
