John P. Zelenka, OTR/L, MOT
John received a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University and has worked since 1978 in returning injured workers to their jobs. He has been published in the Journal of Occupational Therapy, and this article is part of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) database. He has presented papers at regional, national and international programs on the topics of Occupational Therapy practice and Industrial Rehabilitation. John’s Industrial Rehabilitation practice includes patients of varied diagnoses. These include the practices of orthopedics, neurosurgery, neurology, rheumatology, cardiology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. John is also a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army Medical Specialist Corps where he served as an Occupational Therapist and an Upper Extremity Orthopedic Physician Extender.

Sandra S. Nobles, COTA/L, CEAS II
Sandra received an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree in Occupational Therapy from Stanly Community College. She is certified and licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in South Carolina and is a Level II Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist. Sandra has worked in Occupational Therapy since 1993. She has practiced in a wide variety of settings including acute care, sub-acute care, burn care, psychological Occupational Therapy as well as Occupational Health.
