What services are available?
Regularly scheduled visits by RN's, social workers, and chaplains
Home health aide/homemaker services
24-hour, 7 days-a-week on-call services
Plan of care which focuses on pain and symptom management
Training of the family in the patient's care
Coordination with the patient's physician
Coordination of equipment and supplies
Supportive care by trained volunteers
Individual and family counseling
Emotional and spiritual support
Coordination with community services
Bereavement counseling for families
What does all this mean for the patient?
McLeod Hospice will provide or make arrangements for all:
Skilled nursing services
Medical social services
Home Health Aide/Homemaker services
Medical supplies/equipment
Symptom control medications
Outpatient services, including laboratory testing
Additional services if needed, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, dietary consults, etc.
Transportation to hospital if needed
For patients electing the Hospice benefit under Medicare, Medicaid, or Tri-Care, the following services are also available:
Medication for symptom relief such as pain
Standard medical equipment supplies relating to the terminal illness
Physical, occupational or speech therapy consults
Outpatient services
Inpatient Services
Respite Care
